The National Space Society of North Texas (NSS-NT) is proud to announce that NASA Space Suit Engineer Amy Rossis the VIP speaker for the virtual NSS-NT monthly meeting on Sunday, December 13, 2020. Ms. Ross is presenting The Steps Proceeding the “Step” on Mars. The brief introduction to her presentation is as follows:
NASA is working to send humans to Mars. The first tiny portions of human spaceflight hardware are on its way to Mars now. The presentation will discuss the momentous value of a few small samples of space suit materials going to Mars on the Perseverance rover mission.
NSS-NT meetings continue to be held on the second Sunday of each month beginning at 3:30 p.m. Central Time. Prior to the COVID-19 novel coronavirus pandemic, those meetings were held in the large banquet room at Spring Creek BBQ-Irving, 3514 W. Airport Freeway, Irving, TX 75062 (eastbound Hwy. 183 service road, across Hwy. 183 from the Irving Mall, just before Belt Line Rd. South). However, starting April 12, 2020, NSS-NT has instead been conducting virtual meetings on second Sundays for members and invited guests. After each virtual presentation, recent and upcoming local virtual events are discussed during the NSS-NT Business Meeting.
